In the Beginning: Heaven is Better.

In 1986 two strangers, captains of opposing basketball teams, walked to center court for the pregame handshake. They had no idea that a simple handshake was the beginning of a journey orchestrated by God alone.

These two girls became sorority sisters, college roommates and in 2007 business partners. Sharon Kinser and Teresa Reynolds, both Middle Tennessee moms were having one of their “solve all of life’s problems” discussions which revolved around the importance placed on living the “good life.” Somehow the good earthly life theme seemed to pale in comparison to the truth that “Heaven is better”. With much prayer and a minor miracle or two, they started putting together the idea of a small company that would spread the “Heaven is better” message.

So in between baseball games and schoolwork with the kids, they researched and developed a small product line including Gabe, short for Gabriel. Gabe became the tool for telling “stories” that only an angel with a heavenly sense of humor could pull off. They began selling t-shirts from the back seat of their cars, at local home shows and virtually anywhere two or more were gathered (pardon the pun). Before long the idea of offering cool Christian clothing and other gear as a way of spreading God’s Heavenly message to the world became a reality. They are only at the beginning of the journey, but these girls are passionate about their mission and excited to see how God will use this company to further his kingdom.
